Main question- How can you make your trips greener?
- Different groups of people were interviewed for the purpose of this project. We as a group also believe that ‘Charity begins at home’ and If we want to make a change in the society we should be that change. So these are different ways in which we all can make our trips greener: -
- Different groups of people were interviewed for the purpose of this project. We as a group also believe that ‘Charity begins at home’ and If we want to make a change in the society we should be that change. So these are different ways in which we all can make our trips greener: -
- Use Public transport,
- Using electric cars if available,
- Using bicycles,
- Walking short distances,
- Using Solar paneled cars,
- Carpooling,
- Going to a school which is close to one’s home.
- Using vehicles that are electric/ run on CNG depending on its availability,
- Plant more plants - Phytoremediation
𝑅𝐸𝒞𝒪𝑀𝑀𝐸𝒩𝒟𝒜𝒯𝐼𝒪𝒩-I would recommend others this project because it was very enlightening. While working on this project we as a group became aware of the transport facilities available in our area and at the same time became mindful about our own use of these vehicles.

Since my school is a boarding school and most of us stay on school campus we do not have to travel to school by using any vehicle. We walk a distance of somewhere around 500 m to reach school which is healthy for me and the environment. Some students who do not stay on campus have to travel to school daily. Some of them ride a bicycle or travel by a car. Driving a car causes pollution. A lot of people also make use of public transport because of its efficiency and they are economical.
Some of the methods like riding a bicycle, walking, using public transport to travel are green/ environmentally sound. Such methods should be promoted and encouraged.

WhatsApp Communication
Soon after the first video call the WhatsApp group was created for the purpose of discussion. WhatsApp was a very useful mean for communicating and exchanging ideas related to the project and otherwise. During the time of Diwali we shared with the Dutch students the significance of the festival of Diwali and how it is celebrated in India.
Several questions that were posted by us were answered by the Dutch students and at the same time we answered the questions posted by them.
In this way we collaborated and exchanged our ideas with each other.

Second video call using Microsoft teams
After most of the research work was completed we had another video call with the Dutch students. In this video call we discussed about the measures as to how one can ‘Travel green’. We updated each other about the project.
